FYI Krembil folks:
BOINC client v7.16.11 x64 sends the following notice "This project is using an old URL. When convenient, remove the project, then add https://master.worldcommunitygrid.org/" However, the directions do *not* work. The project remains http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ after removing and adding https://master.worldcommunitygrid.org/ This has been happening daily for about a week now. |

One of my machines just got a download of 10 MCM work units. I heard fan running and checked.... ACTUALLY CRUNCHING AGAIN!!!!

Just to answer the last few posts... some WUs are being sent out as a test. This is still the testing phase. Don't expect a continuous flow of work at this point, but thank you for helping to test out the system.
Look for posts pinned and authored by Cyclops as there is alot of good info on what is happening in their posts. |

I have been browsing the forum a fair bit recently what with all the changes and user-testing starting. Sometimes, changing pages within the forum my security software (Bitdefender) gives the following warning:
Suspicious Connection Blocked Feature:Online Threat Prevention firefox.exe attempted to establish a connection relying on an untrusted certificate to www.boincsynergy.com. We blocked the connection to keep your data safe since untrusted certificates are issued by unrecognized Certificate Authorities. It is not all the time so may be there are a few old certificate references that still need clearing up. Great to see the progress anyway! |

www.boincsynergy.com has nothing to do with the real Boinc Synergy at www.boincsynergy.ca
----------------------------------------www.boincsynergy.com is an Indonesian Sports Gaming/Betting site without any certificate (only http connections). Probably at one time the real Boinc Synergy had that address, but lost it for some reason, and it's been taken over by that Indonesian gaming site. Could be that there are some real Boinc Synergy user here who have posted in the forum, and had some picture, or other links on the original site in his posts, pointing to www.boincsynergy.com when that address was the real Boinc Synergy site, and therefore you get the warning. If it only happens while browsing this forum, then that's probably the explanation. If it happens while also browsing other sites, then the explanation could be something else, in the worst of case some malware on your computer. Delete your browsers cache and browsing history to begin with. Edit: Looking at the WayBack Machine for 2019 boincsynergy History , it seems as if the original owner let www.boincsynergy.com expire on January 6th, 2019, and it was parked at GoDaddy.
