Interesting. Not sure I understand how this could possibly happen. Seems to me a test bed should have been going for a long enough time now to ensure transition of work units could have been a couple of day effort. Not sure if I will continue back on WCG. This strikes me as the project having almost no priority with those that are in control, or they simply do not have the required resources to handle the project in the way it should be handled. I totally agree - the project could (should) have been split up into phases, as the webiste/forum (and possibly other "smaler/sub-parts" of the system) could have been moved first, allowed to stabalise, before focusing on the major move, thereby reducing the scope of the move - and thus, the length of outage. |

Could (should) the project be split up for the move? Didn't someone official say earlier in this thread that they had a rushed timeline?
World Community Grid contributors could (should) have just loaded up on tasks or joined a backup project (maybe Rosetta with Resource Share set to 0). World Community Grid gave us plenty of warning. Yes, this transition is a hassle for us contributors, but there is no sign that the SCIENCE is bad or suffering, which is what I really care about. |

I never got around to increasing queue lengths, so four of my five Raspberry Pis have now run out of work and the fifth is down to its last unit. I've set everything but my main cruncher to No New Tasks while I decide whether or not to move them to a new project. The main system is down to an ARP unit due in under an hour, an OPN1 in about half an hour, and one last ARP with 9.8 hours to go.
If SiDock recovers from the sudden crush of WCG refugees, I'll probably put the main one on it with a zero work share. |

There are already some WUs being sent where validation was inconclusive (Pending Verification).
----------------------------------------Expect a lot of re-sends in a few days from over-filled systems, I have some. Paul.

Must not be too many of them. I am down to about 1000 units queued in multiple machines and I have only seen one re-send unit (_2). I half expected to see more. So far one machine has run out its queue and been shut down. I expect at least one more will run out in the next few hours. Cheers

Just a guess, but I think there will be a normal amount of resends for a few days with a big wave of resends on the 18th and 19th
