Re: New PC getting Computation Error
Boinc manager, projects tab, World community grid, reset project. If you don't see this tab, go to View, advanced view, then you can see option to reset project. This should download everything.

--OR--
Delete: C:\ProgramData\BOINC\projects\www.worldcommunitygrid.org\arp1.ozone_lat.formatted
Then, restart BOINC client. This should re-download this 1 file.

If this problem repeats, possibly either a failing HDD/SSD storage, or RAM errors, or improper shut down. Backup your important data just in case if the HDD/SSD storage could fail maybe.

Having too many ARP1 errors can limit to only 1 or 2 ARP1 per day, until it completes ok then it can soon do many ARP1 per day.

Thanks. I have gone into the ProgramData folder and deleted everything with ARP in the filename. Will only be able to test tomorrow since I've been limited to 1 work unit quota after so many computation errors.

In the past 2 days this same PC completed 60+ work units for OpenPandemics that were validated fine. It also passed stress testing on Prime95, so I can't see any hardware errors.

Deleting the ARP files worked great, problem solved! Must have been a corrupted download that triggered the errors. Now I see 1 work unit has completed successfully and is pending validation.

Re: New PC getting Computation Error
It's running 16 threads at 3.8GHz (fixed with Precision Boost disabled) at 1.008V. I manually fixed it at this setting for economy reasons. The 5800X draws on average around 60W according to HWINFO on a mixture of WCG projects. Power consumption can go up to 87W on some of the Prime95 stress tests.
