Just received a couple of new ones. Both errored. Both ran for 4+ minutes and went to 60%+ done in less than 4 minutes with no GPU load. When GPU loaded progress went to less than 1%. ran for 20+ more minutes than errored after job #162 on one and #153 on the other. First error tasks for me including betas.

In 1969 I took an oath to defend and protect the U S Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and Domestic. There was no expiration date.

Did they validate on other hosts? Check the WU history. If so probably an issue more specific to the host or GPU

They did validate on the other host but 2 more ran on the same host that errored and they validated. Weird!

could be a hardware issue with that card. or maybe OC settings if you run any. AMD Tahiti are pretty old from like 10 years ago. but is this WU relevant to this thread? it looks to be outside the range that uplinger defined in the first post.
----------------------------------------I have occasional errors on my 1660 Super, but it's only a couple per day and many many more run to completion and validate. it's probably related to my overclock but the occasional errors aren't too troublesome for me so I just leave it for now. none of my other systems has ever produced an error so I'm sure it's system specific and not related to any problem with the WU itself. but is this WU relevant to this thread? Yes. Look at the batch numbers.

but is this WU relevant to this thread? Yes. Look at the batch numbers. I did. that was the basis for my inquiry. uplinger wrote in the first post: These batches are going to be OPNG_0013345 - 0013355 ( only about 1000 work units) your batch was 0013363 which is outside of this range. your batch was 0013363 which is outside of this range. Pretty obvious they issued more. No other batches even close to 13xxx.

that's why I asked. uplinger didn't make a follow up post that more were coming. better to get confirmation than make assumptions IMO.
----------------------------------------but if that's the case, I picked up 2 more today. both ran flawlessly and validated. Good evening,
I forgot to press send on my post earlier. I have sent out 10 more advanced batches earlier today. The first 10 had an incorrect value that doubled the amount of data that the researchers needed. The 10 new batches had the proper setting but I needed to make sure they were only going to run as expected. Some from the latest batches have very small ligands which means it has MANY ligands in a single work unit. I'm currently working on fixing up these advanced batches. Hopefully to have an exciting announcement tomorrow. Thanks, -Uplinger |
