Re: Work unit availability

my experience today was: many tasks in the early morning (i.e. during the night), but almost no tasks during the day.

Re: Work unit availability

150 tasks across 3 hosts and nary a one from the stress test. Just the old 5000 series tasks.

Do they have to clear out the old work before sending the new work?

Re: Work unit availability

We are using those existing batches as part of the stress test. We were given less than 30k batches and we had about 2k batches of the previous group available to run.

Thanks,

Re: Work unit availability

Well, looks like we're back to this.............
The kitties managed to snag 1 OPNG just now.
And 2 about an hour and a half ago.
And 4 of them about 3 hours before that.
And 2 about 3-1/2 hours before that.
At this rate, even the leisurely munching kitties are gonna be staring at an empty kibble bowl later this morning.
Poor kitties.....

Re: Work unit availability

MEEEEEEEEEEEEEOW!
The kitties just got lucky and after clawing at the server for a little over 2 hours, they managed to snag a 14 WU hit.
Since the kitties are very modest with their munching, that should stave off their hunger for about 7 hours whilst they keep their claws sharp to get some more.
Good job there, kitties!

Meow

EDIT....
The kitties better keep their claws sharp and at the ready.
Just hit 4 7393s that they are tearing through in only 5 minutes each.
And that last hit of 14 are all 8434s. If they are 5 minute jobs as well, the kitties are gonna get hungry a lot sooner than I predicted unless they get some more kibbles in their bowl.

Re: Work unit availability

Well, those 8434s were all 5 minute jobs, they're all done. Luckily, the kitties snagged 29 8671s about 35 minutes ago. Looks like I have 3 longer tasks left until I hit that batch, and those I am betting are the 5 minute variety again, so they won't last long. So, hopefully the kitties snag something more in the next 2-1/2 to 3 hours or it's empty bowl time.
