Re: Work unit availability

The credit you see on the Results Status pages, are BOINC credit and is indeed handled internally.
As in this case it shows: Claimed/ Granted BOINC Credit: 0.3 / 1,051.6
https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/device/...s.do?workunitId=626576126

Those 1,051.6 is BOINC Credit, which equals 7361,2 WCG credits. And your total WCG Credit is shown on your "My Contribution" page, "My Contribution History", "Device Statistics History", as well as on other WCG stats pages. (Your team page for example)

Re: Work unit availability

While elsewhere, I received a big enough batch of them that they're stacking up as "Done" on my system rather than being immediately turned in. Once they're turned in, I'll have to check, but so far, most of these units have been meaty, judging by how fast they run.

Re: Work unit availability

Well, either the researchers are still sending faulty batches, or these batches are actually containing exactly what they want to investigate. In the latter case, the app is incapable of running these batches, and it needs to be fixed and go back to Beta for a while.

I've basically stopped trying to get any more GPU work until we get any feedback from WCG. No use in wasting time and electricity on these "invalid" batches.

Both my GPU crunchers are turned off for now.

I can fully understand, as by now I am also pretty much annoyed about the high number of invalid tasks.
If about a third of the tasks is invalid, something is definitely wrong.
So I too am considering to stop crunching WCG GPU tasks.

Re: Work unit availability

Well, I haven't had a task worth more than about 100-150 credits for about 14 hours now, and tons of invalid 'waste of time' WUs. (I guess I shouldn't actually say 'tons' of them, even they have been relatively sparse.)

Re: Work unit availability

Haven't seen any invalids for a couple hours on my systems. Still begs the question of what caused (still causing?) these invalids...

Re: Work unit availability

Well, the kitties just got another invalid 12 minutes ago, so they are still being issued.

Re: Work unit availability

OK, I just now got 5 OPNGs. I'll edit this with the results when they are crunched and reported.

Re: Work unit availability

My batch had about two pages of valids, a subjectively 50/50 mix of low-scorers and high-scorers. One is still waiting for a wingman along with a few other OPNG units. Seven units came back invalid, and none errored out. So, that was mostly a good batch for me.
