I'm unsure if my issue is related to the ongoing work. But my stats dropped off a cliff last night and the midday today (27 Oct) is a lot lower then I would expect..

Keith We seem to have skipped about 1500 batches of opn1. Is this anything to do with the server changes? Mike No this was expected. The researchers generated those batches and found an issue before we started them. So we were able to catch duplicating ligands because of their process on their end. 15432 - 16743 were skipped because of this. These were not skipped because of the updates/changes. Thanks, -Uplinger |

As for stats, some members may have seen extra work units that are in pending verification state due to the updates. Thes means they may have usually been considered reliable, but required to be checked against other hosts and thus wait for the wingman. This would cause a temporary decrease in stats, but should have a little bit higher averages over the next few days I would imagine. Stats are only given after validation is complete.

Also, we are about to disable the website for about 5 minutes here shortly. It should be a quick and should not affect anything to do with the clients.
Thanks, -Uplinger |

Website is back up fully, had to restart the active database server, this causes website to go down while it switches. But all is good and we are back to normal.
We have 2 more changes planned for tomorrow morning around 8am CST and Thursday morning 8am CST. Validation may be disabled for a little bit each day, very similar to how validation was today. Thanks, -Uplinger |

For the benefit of those of us who are not in Texas, could you please quote times as GMT (UTC)? Thank you. Mike |

Does that mean that we still can risk that whatever we return in that periode ends up invalid? My full six pages from yesterday still are listed as invalid and I go two rigs in bad standing - all new results from these two rigs are now pending verification. Just saying. I know that returning an invalid will lead to that, I just don’t know how many valids a CPU have to return in order to be considered good.

@Mike
1300 GMT @MStenholm We have figured out what caused the issue yesterday. We did not encounter any issues today during the updates. So, you should not see any issues other than validation delayed by around an hour. As for machines coming back to reliable, most newer machines can become reliable again withing 12 hours. It unfortunately requires your wingman return results as well, which could cause a bit of a delay on that. Thanks, -Uplinger |

Getting invalids for the first time due to your updates may only affiliated a few people but you should keep an eye on it next time. 12 hour you say, I still some 30 hours later get all my results back as Pending verification dispite at least 100 results have been re-run, at least not returned as invalid. Should I stop WCG?
----------------------------------------I do 650 WU on the one rig and the number of PVs stayed the same since yesterday so I assume that most are good. ![]() [Edit 2 times, last edit by MStenholm at Oct 27, 2020 9:33:54 PM] |
