I've had WCG activity set to run always on 3 machines for months, but today on one of them the task lines all say "Suspended-computer in use." No change I make in computing prefs fixes it. Help!

Please post about 20-30 messages from your event log. That will give us something to go on.

You are probably using the default setting in Computing Preferences
for "Suspend for non-BOINC CPU usage is above ...%", where the default is 25. Set it to 0 or 100% for always running. |

Thanks for the quick replies folks, it sorted itself out shortly after I posted that message. I tried to edit my post to reflect that fact, but this board did not allow me to do that. All 3 machines run WCG 100% most of the time, unless I'm doing audio work, which is when I suspend activity on that one machine- if I remember to do so. There have been times when I forgot to suspend and ran a recording mix session and didn't notice any issues until the number of tracks and/or plugins went high.

Editing is only for the privileged who've done N number of posts. 5? 10?, regardless if you've been a crunching member for months. (reason probably to stop troll/inflammatory posts by non-crunching 'enrollees', who then quickly change it afterwards... yes they do exist.)
----------------------------------------If you want to pause BOINC for your audio work, you can make it do that when a specific application loads then automatically resuming when you unload the audio app. Boinc Manager > Options > Exclusive Applications.
