About July 3, 2020 I stopped producing results. I tried resetting my computers ( I have 4 computers.) but finally deleted and reloaded World Community Grid. Did anyone else have a similar problem?

What version of the BOINC Client were you running on those devices. We made a ssl certificate change on July 1st and a few security changes. Depending on your client, you may not be able to connect as it does not have the updated version of openssl in it.
Latest version from us: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/viewDownloadAgain.action Thanks, -Uplinger |

Maybe it was around July 3, clients that were connected to BAM! all got some funky error message that we had two identical accounts and needed to remove one of them.
----------------------------------------It was actually a problem caused by BAM! (if I understand correctly), not any problem with our clients or anything we users did. I did the same thing you did, Nagshead -- I uninstalled and reinstalled the client, losing a good chunk of crunching that wouldn't upload, including an Africa Rainfall work unit that takes about 40 hours to complete on my antique. There was an easier method to straighten things out that didn't require reinstalling the client, which I don't remember, but it's moot, now. And then, to top it off, if you tried following the directions that the error message provided, the instructions didn't work. That's when I reinstalled. Maybe that was around July 3. Maybe that's what caught your client then. If neither, then don't mind me. [Edit 1 times, last edit by nei1 at Aug 2, 2020 5:00:03 PM] |
