Contrary to the current "production" MCM WUs, these beta WUs are immediately erroring out on a 32biit OS host... :(

...but will run on Windows 32 bit with PEinfo fix.

I have tasks running on Linux and Windows both 32 and 64 bit.

I got three of them on my Intel(R) Core(tm) i3 CPU M 380 @ 2.53GHz Laptop, running Windows 7 Home Premium x64 Edition, Service Pack 1, (06.01.7601.00)

All three finished just fine.

I've gotten 6 of these beta WUs. Five are completed sucessfully. I started and stopped them a couple times w/o issues. My computer is Win10, HP laptop I-7 quad core. Still have one more WU to complete yet.

Is the Linux on ARM 32-bit ("arm-unknown-linux-gnueabihf") or 64-bit (arm64, also known as "aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu"), or will both be available? Thank you.

Re: Mapping Cancer Markers Beta Test July 8, 2020 [Issues thread]

My Raspberry PIs did not pick up any work units. I have both ARM 32 and ARM 64 bit platforms setup- arm-unknown-linux-gnueabihf & aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu

Were the ARM work units actually sent out?

The Linux on ARM binary is 32 bit. There were 140 results for Linux on ARM sent out.
Thanks,
Jonathan

Re: Mapping Cancer Markers Beta Test July 8, 2020 [Issues thread]

I have an I7-3770 running Windows 7 and an I7-2600K running Linux, both 64bit. The Windows units completed in 1.5 and 1.39 hours and the Linux unit completed in 2.78 hours. I know this is a small sample but it appears Windows is substantially faster than Linux given that the work units in the beta are fairly homogeneous as the regular production units seem to be. For other projects such as OPN the results exhibit similar times on both systems.
Cheers

My little bigger sample. Windows VM vs Linux VM on the same hardware.
Avg. Windows duration is 2.56 hours (5 tasks) and on Linux it is 6.2 hours (10 tasks).
On the free threads OPN1 was running.

Note: On Linux there were more Beta MCM's running concurrently. Maybe a factor for extra slowing down.
