Deleting device manager profile

Good evening. Is it possible to delete device manager profile that is not currently active ? When I do factory reset, I have new profile on device manager and I see statistic from other profile (Android) that was installed earlier. I want to delete this old profile but I don't see option for this. Also, where can I change the name of Android profile? Thank you.

Re: Deleting device manager profile

'Android' profile? Unless you created this non-standard named profile, you can't.
Renaming is not an option, only create and delete. 'Default' can never be deleted, only home, work, school of the standard 4.

This all said, could it be you're talking device names rather than device profiles. If you have BOINC client 7.16.3 on Android, you can rename in the BOINC preferences, with client 7.4.53 you can't. Otherwise all devices for Android are named Android in the device statistics. That's a mess, we all know.

Re: Deleting device manager profile

This profiles that I have are not exist anymore because I did factory reset and want to delete them but I obviously can't because I didn't create them by myself. (for home, work etc.). Am I wright?

For some reason when I installed Boinc app again, I have version 7.4.53 instead of newer version, 7.16.3. In this version I had this option to rename device android profil. Why don't I have this version, I also have beta updates for this app on Google play?

Re: Deleting device manager profile

My phone did not get 7.16.3 either which has Android 6. It's something particular of the Google play store. You can download from Berkeley https://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/boinc_7.16.3.apk and install. You may have to change the security temporarily as Android is default set to only install via playstore.

For clarity, it's not device profile, but device/host name, how WCG knows you want the client to be known in their device statistics and how it's listed on the Result Status pages.
