Out of curiousity today I had a look at a work unit that has been Pending Validation for a little longer than most, but not yet over-due.
----------------------------------------This is it :-
Mine is the one shown as pending... To my surprise it is showing "Fedora release 32" as the OS. It was NOT release 32 when this WU was submitted - but release 31. I only updated this machine a few hours ago - May 31 to release 32. So this Status screen show the current OS - NOT the OS that produced the work unit, as well as the incorrect kernel and clib versions obviously, some what mis-leading to some extent... Checked WUs for another machine just updated and WUs submitted and Valid before the update have also changed OS version

Smells like all live records for that device just are all linked to the single OS descriptor that sits on the active device ID db... a relation database effect. Saves space.
