Optimal Setup

Hi folks,

I can't find anything similar to this already so wanted to see if anyone knows.

I've got an ESX server that hosts a number of services and one of them is WCG. I've given my best guess to how much CPU and RAM and so on it requires and have gone above that.

I noticed, as an example in my setup that the CPU avg and max are very close to each other, and they are under 70%, I also noticed that my RAM is maxed out.

I have it running with 2vcpu's and 2 gigs of ram (I can modify that all I need to), on the latest version of Ubuntu server on a Dell R210 2.

What would be nice to see is some kind of page or document, or even better some kind of monitoring software that would help to optimize the configuration of your equipment to get the highest amount of calculations done - for example if I don't have enough RAM in my VM, just tell me that I need another x gigs or whatever. It would be interesting to see what the app thought it could do with say 1, 2, 3 and 4 vcpus and then say 2,3,4 and whatever other number of gigs of RAM.

Cheers
