Scheduler request failed: HTTP internal server error
I am recieving this error on one of my Windows PCs. It has been running clean for years and was not updated or re-booted but the error started early afternoon today. I gave up trying to save the tasks that were trying to be reported and 'reset project'.
This did not resolve so re-booted with no change and so upgraded to 17.6.5 client and still same error even after another 'reset project'.
I enabled HTTP debug and can see that I am sending POST with 17K of data which receives
100 Continue
Info: We are completely uploaded and fine
then 2 seconds later the
500 Internal Server Error
Based on the above, it looks like a problem on the WCG server unique to this specific PC.
Example was May 15th at 01:21:17GMT
Hoping one of the admins can have a look but willing to entertain any suggestions to get new tasks.

I would do a memory check on the system. Might be you have a stick which has gone a little bonkers.

Re: Scheduler request failed: HTTP internal server error
I have determined that the problem is related to the 'Device Profile' assigned to the PC when it happened on a second PC. These PCs are not using one of the standard four profiles (default, home, work, school). The device profile they are using still shows under the device profiles tab.
A change occured on the server at around 17:30GMT yesterday which caused this change in behaviour.
I would like to go back to using the profile I have used for these PCs for more than 3 years.
Can one of the admins please comment......thanks

I am seeing the SAME Error message on my Windows 8.1 PC also. Can't upload completed task.

Unrelated, maybe, but your problems seem to have started right around when OpenPandemic was launched. Quite a few reports of observation with wingman that run Windows 8.1 (Windows Blue supposedly), that error with OPN1. JIC, think people with want to know if yours are successful should you manage to get the connection to work again.

Indeed it is on a fully patched Windows 8.1 PC that the problem is occurring.

Shut down BOINC, rebooted PC and restarted BOINC with no luck.

Now have two tasks of Microbiome Immunity Project 7.16. waiting to upload for validation.

Finally got the two tasks to upload.
Not sure if it has anything to do with changing the project venue from "home" to "default" here at WCG and issuing a project update command.

Rosetta@home and several other BOINC projects are reporting problems with file uploads and downloads due to an expired entry in BOINC's file ca-bundle.crt.

It appears to be only projects using SSL, and possibly only clients using Windows.

In other words, if WCG has not fully switched to SSL, it should not do so until this problem is fixed.

It looks likely that a new version of BOINC is required to do the fix in a way that most users can handle.
