No WU for Linux 64 bit?

Good evening everyone,
I think I need a little help to clarify what is going on right now with my computer. I'm using BOINC since about two weeks, so it's possible that I'm doing some mistake somewhere, but I can't find a solution for this.
I'm running the "normal" BOINC client on Linux x86_64, version 7.14.2. When the client tries to connect to the WCG server, this is the result:
09-May-2020 14:30:54 [World Community Grid] Sending scheduler request: To fetch work.
09-May-2020 14:30:54 [World Community Grid] Requesting new tasks for CPU and NVIDIA GPU
09-May-2020 14:30:56 [World Community Grid] Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
09-May-2020 14:30:56 [World Community Grid] Couldn't create host record in database

No WU get ever downloaded, and the Linux computer doesn't receive a Computer ID. With the same account everything works great on Android. Of course I tried to remove and put the account again in the Linux Boincmanager, but this behaviour is always reproduces. With Rosetta@home, GPUGRID and Climateprediction.net everything works fine.
It this normal? I have the feeling something may be not right...

Many thanks for your help,
Marco

Re: No WU for Linux 64 bit?

this issue usually comes when you have non-latin characters in a hostname and it really appears only with WCG... for last few years one of my first job when a new PC/Laptop arrives is to check a hostname and change it before launching BOINC....

p.s. I'm using BOINC as a testing platform for PC diagnostics and I'm getting a lot of systems with russian hostnames that I have to translate and change )

Thank you! That may really be the case... Since I do have a funny hostname. That's for sure the problem, I'll try to change it in these days.
Many many thanks, I'd have never guessed that myself...!!!
