Ground for the above was actually broken in the Netherlands where they've been monitoring sewage for covid-19 particles for several months to pinpoint imminent outbreaks in the largest population areas.
Using the universal google translator, the testing has now been promoted to standard issue: https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=aut...n-op-het-coronavirus.html China reported few days ago that antibody count rapidly declines several months after being declared recovered. https://www.cidrap.umn.edu/news-perspective/2...-19-patients-fade-quickly Does not bode well. |

Australian Broadcasting Corp website (abc.net.au) has an interesting article that explains how various types of vaccines work, and discusses some of the leading vaccine candidates for CoVid-19.
The Virus and the Vaccine - 3 options for a vaccine It's an educational presentation, aimed at the general public. Have a read - you may enjoy learning something you didn't know. |

Basking in the sun for 34 minutes and your skin will be covid-19 free, on the sunny side. https://nypost.com/2020/06/23/new-study-says-...oronavirus-in-34-minutes/
----------------------------------------Distinctly remember the airline industry has some contraption available to disinfect a cabin within 4 minutes with a high powered UV A/B/C blasting cart rolled across the aisles. Not that I'll go sit in any plane for hours on end with a jet loaded up with a few hundred breathing, coughing and belching peeps and aerosols floating in the 0.5 atmosphere pressurised cabin. It's long established that airlines have been cutting on the quality of the air you breath... NonStop La Guardia - Tokyo Narita in 15+ hours. Good Luck. At ISC, the Fight Against COVID-19 Took the Stage – and Yes, Fugaku Was There: The projects described there appear to dwarf our efforts with OPN1 at wcgrid.org.https://www.hpcwire.com/2020/06/23/at-isc-the...and-yes-fugaku-was-there/ Are we wasting our time and money? Are there things that the people in those projects and those at ForliLab could learn from each other? Do they know about each other & are they in contact? Do those supercomputers have any spare CPU time that they could put towards OPN1? Should ForliLab apply for grants of some of that time? |

Are we wasting our time and money? Don't know. But they are making progress at Rosetta too. This was just announced: https://twitter.com/RosettaAtHome/status/1276324129390555136 There is probably room for all of them, since more viruses will come along. Just use your hardware the best you can. |
