Why/how does the same machine produce valid and invalid results? Both invalids were a quorum of 3 and my XP results were compared to the other 2 that were running Win10. Same XP machine has valid results with the wingman running Win10. Can a tech explain?

They're going to ask for the logs from each scenario; might wanna grab those to save some time I looked at the logs. There was no difference between the valids and invalids. nanoprobe,
We unfortunately do not support XP. Microsoft has stopped official support for it back in April 2014. A few things to check is your memory on the machine and storage on them as they may have issues due to age. My personal recommendation if you want still use those machines, is install a LTS release of Linux on those machines. This will help make the machines more secure and you'll get latest updates for security/bug fixes. Thanks, -Uplinger |

I was just curious as to why a result is labeled as invalid even though the invalid log and valid log from the same XP device look exactly alike.

On most applications we do binary compares between two machines. This could be as simple as doing an md5sum between the two device results. Something between your machine and the others is something is calculated differently. This could be something in the math libraries on XP that differs from windows 10. Or it could be something like a bad stick of memory. I fear it is the math libraries, but without ruling out hard ware issues I don't know.
Thanks, -Uplinger |
