Re: Work Available

Dear volunteers, as per past information we provided, ARP team had some temporary storage issues. However, the issues seem to continue longer than expected. We have contacted the ARP team and they highlighted that there is still an issue with downloading the results to their servers.
As the amount of processed workunits for a given project increases on our servers, the amount of WUs sent out slows.
As you may know, most universities reduce staff during the holiday season - and thus we hope to hear an update from the ARP team soon.

Re: Work Available

There seems to be some sort of delay on the daily report of time taken. It doesn't match the units completed.

Re: Work Available

Thank you for the explanation of the delay and lack of supply of units. Is the delay possibly down to lack of funding for storage? There would seem to have been enough warning of the storage needs.

Hi Chiara p, thank you for your update with ARP.

But I would like to know a little bit more about the other projects in course too, like HSTB, SCC, Open Pandemics, wich aren´t sending tasks , each one I think for distinct reasons.

Tahnk you in advance for your support and help in clarifications and updates. idea

Re: Work Available

Dear Mike,
the team set up a new server for the results and is in the process of activating it. They had to switch from a federal to an institution-based resource.
Unfortunately, the Holiday pause delayed the process a bit.

Re: Work Available

Dear giba,

OPN paused because the Team is preparing targets for a new SARS-CoV-2 protein, PLPro. Once the tasks are ready they will release the new workunits. In the meantime, they are validating the results obtained from the first set of predictions obtained from WCG.

SCC is finalizing validations and some of the molecules seem very promising. Hopefully, we will be able to share some good news soon. Once they finish the validations they will set up and release new WUs, possibly in the next few months.

HSTB team is also performing results validation, so they can prioritize what to test next.
