Let us know how long they take. Cheers ARP1_0002532_126_2 took 44 hours, 25 minutes, and 52 seconds. ARP1_0009251_127_2 took 45 hours. 45 minutes, and 40 seconds No problems running those two at the same time though. I will not run that old computer again, until the Device profiles problem is solved, and it obeys the settings I select. No more ARP's or HSTB for that one ![]() Thanks for posting. It gives us a benchmark for that kind of a system. A continuously on system of that vintage would still finish the work units in less than 3 days. Unfortunately, not very efficient. Cheers
Sgt. Joe

It would seem that extremes have been going to slower machines judging from the average completion times. However, the deadlines seem not to have been adhered to in testing.
I also notice that the limitation to generation 127 and below has now been raised to 135 so all units are now back in play. Mike |

ARP1_0031999_126_1 on another of my older computers.
----------------------------------------Windows 7, Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU M 380 @ 2.53GHz. 4GB memory. (Come to think of it, I do not have any computer more recent that my computer with the Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790K CPU) There are more important things to spend my money on, than computers, since I'm now retired and on a fixed income. My main machine is an i7-3770 and I am not running the others at the moment because of the heat.
Not getting any units of any sort. The only units validated yesterday were 1 from generation 124, 3 from 125, 286 from 126 & 586 from 127. The 4 Accelerated units took an average of 281.0 hours and the 883 Normal units averaged 182.6 hours. There is a discrepancy of 11 in the Normal numbers but that is what has been reported. Mike |

One of my slow computer completed some tasks a few days ago.
----------------------------------------HP a6010n, Intel Core 2 CPU 4300 1.80GHz, 3 GiB RAM DDR2 (1+0.5+1+0.5) Linux Debian 11 (bullseye) 5.10.0-15-amd64 (64 bit) Installed to USB flash drive and SD card, together in Linux software RAID1. No 3.5 inch HDD for less power, less heat. Task Date sent Date Receive CPU / Runtime, CreditsQuiet and low heat that I can keep it on. Faster than my Intel Atom N270 32 bit which have taken 7.2 hours to complete 1 ARP1 task. If any of you on Windows Vista which is outdated and memory hog, highly recommend to switch to 64 bit Linux such as Debian. My 64 bit Linux Debian with 3 GiB (3072 Mebibyte) RAM in command line (no desktop environment), free -m shows 121 MiB used, 2784 MiB free when idling with no tasks. Edit: Corrected size errors, RAM use GiB (Gibibyte) and MiB (Mebibyte) binary sizes. [Edit 1 times, last edit by sam6861 at Jul 31, 2022 7:25:09 PM] |

Ok, I got one ARP1 that's been out in the wild since July 16, with several "No Reply"
It's now up to _5, which is the one I got for my i7-4790K computer. ARP1_0031473_127 |

Ok, I got one ARP1 that's been out in the wild since July 16, with several "No Reply" Well, not too bad for my i7-4790K computer, from 2015. Crunched the above ARP1 in 9 hours, 37 minutes, and 30 seconds. It's now up to _5, which is the one I got for my i7-4790K computer. ARP1_0031473_127 And with that I'll end my ARP test on my ancient computers, and turn them off again, until WCG is back to normal production again. |

Sunday Report .
6,627 units validated in 7 days so average of 946.7 per day. Assuming that a full generation 182 will be the last, there are 1,936,827 units still outstanding, so my forecast end date would be 6 March 2028. However, we are still in testing so we should finish well before then. The 3 Ultras have stayed put. There has been no change in the definition of Extreme or Accelerated units. There are 113 Extremes (unchanged) and 134 fewer Accelerated units at 253. 4,109 units have been validated from generations 126 & 127.No higher generations have been completed. Mike |

I wish they would send some of the tasks to pc's that haven't crunched them before so they get a wider range of hardware that people will bring here once the spigots open wide. Maybe limit each pc to 2 tasks per day or something so more people get the tasks instead of the same people getting the tasks. NO not TOTAL WCG tasks just of each kind of task so ie if they have 3 different kinds of tasks available you could get 2 of these, 5 of those and 10 or something else.
