There is probably an e-mail progress bar somewhere that says when the rest of us will get the notification. Subtle, but direct < <notify> > >  CJSL Crunching independently of the progress bar  |

This should eliminate the duplicate cross-project-ids (note that anyone having an issue with this currently should be able to simply change the email address they use across multiple accounts so that they are unique across their accounts).
You will still be able to change your email address as you can now. |

I'm underwhelmed, I stopped caring about WCG "improvements" when WCG ruined the progress bars.
I've been keeping an eye on ebay for some cheap, low power fileserver hardware, once something suitable is obtained my hp blade server will be going on ebay. Then the other PC's will not be repaired/replaced when they die until I'm down to 1 machine. I'm hoping to make 20 years on FAAH2 and MIP before they go, but if I don't I will be a lot less bothered about it than I once would. If I find I can't log in after the change, well, that won't really bother me either now. |

This change will not impact that at all. However, when you go to attach a new host to your account at World Community Grid, you will be prompted for your email address and password instead of username and password. Presumably web login will also need e-mail? CL commands? Anything else? It's good to know ALL changes that existing users will see, in case anything has been automated by those who can and want to ... |

I got this email from WCG. Everyone who runs scripts using username logins should take notice. hhhmm... I haven't got that notification yet and I haven't seen anything in the news about it either.https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/about_us/viewNewsArticle.do?articleId=602 If it makes things easier, I'm all for it, thanks ! Sad to see some crunchers are soured out on the whole WCG concept. CJSL Crunching for a better world !!! |
