I have a PC running on Linux Mint.
----------------------------------------Can someone recommend a GPU to use in it? I want to run collatz through the PC GPU, since WCG is not doing GPU work as far as I know. The collatz preferences URL says Use NVIDIA GPU, but which GPU? And what special instructions do I need? Thank for the assist... It says right on Collatz front page that AMD and Intel GPUs can be used. You can always check out the top computers to see what is best.

Hi there.
----------------------------------------My 2 cents: some forums list the amount of work per watt. Some Nvidia use less power and generate less heat. I has a problem. The card took an extra power cable.. The cable shipped was WAY too short. Extension cables were not compatible. Good Luck! Jay |

Jay Isn't the GPU powered by cables from the PSU. 6 pin and 8 pin extension cables can be found on Amazon, Newegg and other places. How long of a cable do you need?

>It will use all NVIDIA cards in the system
---------------------------------------->You will need to specify which one(s) using an app_config file As to how I am not sure as I only have one graphics card in this computer |

Generally NVidia drivers for Linux tend to perform better than the AMD ones.
In the Folding@home forums the GTX1660Ti and super are said to deliver a very good performance per watt ratio. |

The collatz preferences URL says Use NVIDIA GPU, but which GPU? The best one you can afford. Not sure if you have to also install the CUDA package along with the drivers. |
