I noticed today, after having paused crunching for some hours, and then resuming crunching, that basically all tasks currently running on the PC, had been cancelled or "no longer usable" as it were. (I leave apps in memory while pausing).

They just say "Detached". All tasks were well inside the finishing window, even the FAH2 tasks. They were close to finishing, but had at least 4 hours remaining. Looks like they have been resent to another person, and some still running on the wingmen. My PC has Linux Mint 19.1, with Boinc-client version 7.9.3. Never had problems really, but I have before noticed these "Detached" status on the website. |

Well, there have been some more cancelled workunits afterwards, on another pc.
Those are listed as aborted by server, so I guess they have been cancelled because they aren't needed by the projects. |

Have you cloned your installation?
I only know the detached behaviour if there are two boinc clients with the same hostid |

Hey Stiwi,
No it has been running normally for a long time. Haven't cloned it nor reinstalled. I also wondered about the detached thing on the result status page, since it sounds like the boinc client somehow has detached itself, but it has been running well for a long time. Still does, with new workunits it fetched afterwards. I have at an earlier time observed this detached message on the website under result status, but can't remember now if it was on this same pc it happened. It's a month or more ago i think, so those results have cleared since then. I wonder if the message "detached" is just in error, and should have been the message "aborted"? |
