Hi all. As I am surely not the only one who has been running WCG for 10+ years and/or use multiple machines, I would like to see badges for higher years of service. Right now it seems to top out at 100 years. I have contributed to a few projects where I have easily surpassed 100 years.
----------------------------------------I would vote to include badges for 250 years, 500 years, and 1000 years. Can we get an answer from WCG, please, regarding this topic? Thanks! |

I don't know if this is possible or not, but perhaps, rather than a static number in the badge, it could be a dynamic number, say, changing every 5 or 10 years as needed after the 100. It does appear the badges are wide enough for 5 digits, which would be enough to accommodate most of the crunchers, except for the big corporate types like IBM and Marist College.

It has been brought up here and there before and I completely support the idea as 100 year badges are insufficient for some of the contributing members to WCG. I'd love for people like yourself and Marist College to get more credit to the beyond substantial amount of time that you've contributed.

+1, even though I don't have any qualifications to be in that group.

Hello,
Higher badge levels, etc. have been previously requested by members. Overall badge design is currently on our backlog to review; however, it is not a high priority item at this time. Thank you for your support, ErikaT |

I remember the days when the gold badge was the highest badge available. Those were the days!!

ErikaT - what type of priority system are you using at WCG... they can fall into two classes...
----------------------------------------Static A task. if worth doing, is assigned a priority say between 1 and 20. A low priority task might be assigned an 18 where 1 is the highest and 20 the lowest... Trouble is - there is always higher priority work - so the lower priority tasks never get done... Dynamic A task is set a priority as for Static above. However every period, say once a week or month or ????, every task that has been on the list longer than that period gets its priority bumped up - so in our example above the task at 18 becomes 17 and so on. Eventually it will bubble up to 1. if not completed before then, and should be treated as any other high priority 1 task. That way a task doesn't just sit in the task list forever...

Thank you for your support, ErikaT Thank you. At least it is on the list.I am more concerned about the crunching being done than the badges I earn. Cheers
