If getting a 250 year badge can motivate some long dedicated cruncher to continue I support the idea. Sure there are other task that your programmers should look into but I support the idea. As it is obvious I far from "needing" a 250 year one my self.

Anyone asking for more should at least have a badge for the newest project. If I am reading you correctly, you are stating that in order for me to earn a higher badge, I need to be forced to contribute to a Project against my will? Seriously? Considering that the badge levels haven't been altered in at least 5 years, I think my request is fair. I think contributors should be recognized and WCG needs to do THEIR PART in that recognition. But giving a 100 year badge to someone who has completed 1200 years of work as well as giving a 100 year badge to someone who has completed 101 years of work does not differentiate badge levels and does not truly recognize one's contribution. Many of the WCG projects run for years. We deserve the recognition. |

Anyone asking for more should at least have a badge for the newest project. Blade, I agree no one should work on a project unless they want to. Besides, since MIP is an L3 Cache hog it's slow going compared to other projects. In a few days I'll have 100 years on ZIKA and wanting my 200 year badge next. ...KRI please cancel all shadow-banning |

I wish someone from the management would explain how it can be such
a big deal to substitute a '2' for a '1' and a '5' for a '2' - not that I need it, but many others do |

I wish someone from the management would explain how it can be such a big deal to substitute a '2' for a '1' and a '5' for a '2' I completely agree. These badges are simply static JPGs. There is a JPG for a 5 year Badge for Project A and a different JPG for a 10 year Badge for Project B. The Bades are not being dynamically created nor is the website dynamically figuring out all my (and your) badges when I visit the Forums. That would just be an insanely waste of server/app time. Right click on some of the Badges on my profile and compare the URLs to the Badges (with different years) on your profile or someone else's. For example: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/images/pb/scc1_9.jpg (Diamond Level 50 years) vs https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/images/pb/scc1_10.jpg (Diamond Level 100 years) WCG simply has an app that adds up my work (per Project) and associates my account with each Badge in a database table. This process probably happens when WCG is down 1-2 times a day updating its database. WCG should be able to very easily create additional JPG badges and simply add the logic into their app/sever that defines my database record(s). Hello, Higher badge levels, etc. have been previously requested by members. Overall badge design is currently on our backlog to review; however, it is not a high priority item at this time. Yep, IBM can just change a "1" to a "2" and edit one line of their code and voilĂ you're done.Thank you for your support, ErikaT ...KRI please cancel all shadow-banning |

I remember the days when the gold badge was the highest badge available. Those were the days!! I remember as well. And I want to say before bronze/silver/gold, badges didn't exist at all. But my age is wearing on my memory, and that was about 13 years ago |
