Looking at the returns for the last several days, you can see a definite decline in the number of units returned. This would be in line with the assumption all of the units had been issued and only resends will be available. The project will probably peterout in about 10 days or so with continually decreasing returns as the available supply works its way through the accumulated queues. Unless, of course, the scientists decide to throw a few more units into the mix.

Through the years. They said they working on more precise showing progress of the stuff. There was supposed to be something last year done. It wasnt. SO dont bet on it that something will change . It is what it is. There are 30 day warnings when before we run out of the work. And thats kinda it

Because it's most probably not based on actual estimated number of batches. This project has been terminated by the scientists slightly ahead of the original plan.

Mumak, I suspected this and a WCG tech clarified that they're running all submitted batches and nothing was canceled.
I assume the estimate is wrong because A. the batches were run out of order (creating an artificial gap between current batch number and maximum number) and B. because the tracker uses daily submissions to complete maximum batch, as the last WUs trickle in, it looks like we're going slower and slower towards the goal. |
