Not altogether surprising considering there hasn't been a project update from the science team in several years. It's been rather obvious that this project wasn't the topmost thing on their schedule. There's an outbreak in the deep of Congo that has reached a very large concentration of people in a place right on a major commuting river. Very little is heard about it. It is in a rebel zone, where red cross health workers have been attacked. https://www.theguardian.com/global-developmen...tacked-butembo-north-kivu There are vaccination efforts ongoing. https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/201...-in-congo?t=1541264745599 |

It's been a pleasure been able to contribute to this, it certainly looks like we are on borrowed time.

Hello all,
We have now finished sending out new work for OET1 and are now only sending out resends for workunits that were not completely successfully on another volunteer's computer. Thank you all for supporting this project. Seippel |

Wonderful. Thank you, Seippel, for the good news! Glad to have assisted with the crunching.

Congratulations, seippel.
----------------------------------------How many units out there that requires to be resended? Do you have any approximate insight? And when do you plan to send them out? Will it be just for few people or more of us will be lucky and might recieve enough to work with for quite some time till it will run out?

Thank you for the link. I saw these before but how do you calculate that? I assume you need to know the overall amount of tasks (WUs) made for the project and how many of them have been successfully finished. I never saw that statistics anywhere... But even then, how do you know how many tasks have been rejected, thus needs to be sent again? Since they won't send any new tasks now but only re-do tasks, how can you estimate the actual deadline? I would gladly keep track of all those numbers if they are opened publicly to get the idea of what to expect.

Will it be just for few people or more of us will be lucky and might recieve enough to work with for quite some time till it will run out? At the moment, all OET1 work has been sent out but there are many workunits that are being actively crunched by volunteers. If those workunits reach their deadline without getting returned or the volunteer's computer fails to complete it successfully for various other reasons, that workunit would be send out to a different volunteer as a resend. Those resends are send out immediately as they are needed (as soon as the deadline is reached for example), but they will be sporadic for the next couple of weeks. Overall, it should be a small number of workunits. Seippel |

Indeed, I recieved few more tasks this night, so will temporarily turn off other projects again to make sure I get all possible units.

Greetings!
----------------------------------------Today is 11 November 2018. The 'Research' page says OET is 93% done. Misleading? Bu I have not found an OET WU for about a week. Have they completely stopped? The post above is vague about the number/rate on new WU being created. Can the 'Research" Completion done for OET be updated??? I am on Linux. Anybody getting windows or Other OET WU?? Thanks!!!
