OM WUs dockings question

Hey there, I noticed that in the OpenZika project each WU performs from 20 to 30 docking jobs in about an hour, whereas in order to perform only one docking job
in the OM WUs 6 or more hours are needed (speaking of my computer, obviously). Now, I assume that the work currently performed in the OET project gives much more accurate results. I also kind of know how docking simulations work but I would like to understand what are the exact differences between docking jobs that take not more than 3 minutes and the ones that take many hours. Does anybody know where I can find that kind of information? Or, if you know the answer to my question, would you mind writing it here as a reply? Thank you all in advance :)

Re: OM WUs dockings question

My understanding is the length of the job is dependent on the complexity of the structures being docked and how many iterations of the docking are tried in order to get an "acceptable" fit.

Re: OM WUs dockings question

Currently the OET1 WUs are the rigid work units that were postponed when the project started. The earlier OET1 work ran much faster than the current work (similar to the Zika units). There are only 200 batches in the rigid set of work. For the adventurous, there have been discussions concerning the differences in this forum
