Both the 32bit and 64bit versions of the Linux application version for the Outsmart Ebola Together project have been updated to version 7.23. For this update there are not changes to the application code but the new application binaries were built with GCC 4.85 and glibc 2.17.
Thanks, armstrdj |

It seems that 7.23 is faster than 7.19. At least I have thus far always had WU times of less than 6 hours, and usually about 5 hours or less for the 7.23, whereas the 7.19 have been running a half-hour or more greater than that. This is on a Ryzen 1700 running Ubuntu 18.04.
I wonder if it is just variations in the science payload, or an actual performance enhancement due to GCC and glibc? Since Zika is also being updated, I will be looking for the comparison there too. |
