AndroBOINC isn't a BOINC client but rather a remote manager so not really an option.

This version downloads, but also won't open. Could there be a setting on my phone to fix this problem and allow the two downloaded files to open? Or has BOINC done something to prevent the files from opening? Keep the ideas coming; there is still not a word from Boinc on this problem. Thanks for the replies. By not open you mean it won't install, or once installed it won't open? If by not installing, you need to enable developer options, and uncheck the box that says trusted sources. If that is set, your phone will only install apks from the play store. If you try loading the apk onto an SD card or pulling it over from your computer, your phone will see it as an untrusted source. Edit: and to be sure we are talking about the same thing, we are talking about the apk from Berkeley download page, correct? [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Aug 30, 2018 10:18:22 AM] |

Workaround is to download Amazon App Store and download BOINC from the Amazon App Store. That's what I had to do.
