The error message I received on my first attempt when the app was there was an invalid password. I tried again with Asteroids and with the same saved password loaded asteroids fine. So, I went back and tried WCG again. Failed again: Incorrect password. I looked carefully this time and at the top was an error message: BOINC is having difficulty attaching projects. Then they removed the app from PlayStore. All this time they have been completely silent. If it was a hardware failure, why not say so? If it was a software issue, why not reinstall from a backup - again, why not tell us what's up. My virus scan clean.

I tried that, too. There is no Playstore BOINC app and the website downloaded.apk program doesn't open. Hence, reinstalling Asteroids or any other project is no longer possible. Is there a configuration setting to get the downloaded BOINC file to open? I did find something everyone should know: boinc.berkley.edu installs spyware on one's computer. Note how easy it is to misspell Berkeley. My Webroot antivirus, anti-spyware program blocked the page with a stern warning. I'm going to keep trying until they fix the problem. I wish they would put out a notice of being aware of the issue once they have diagnosed the problem. All help will be appreciated. Thanks

This version downloads, but also won't open. Could there be a setting on my phone to fix this problem and allow the two downloaded files to open? Or has BOINC done something to prevent the files from opening? Keep the ideas coming; there is still not a word from Boinc on this problem. Thanks for the replies.
