For a while I have congratulated our crunchers who have posted their achievements on an almost daily basis
- and true to my nature I have added a comment, a question or a picture. It's my impression that some 75% liked that somebody noticed what they had achieved and reacted to it. I realize that I talk too much, and KLiK is probably right when he wants the 'bragging and celebration thread' to be just that - or as a minimum wants business talk moved to the proper threads .... I have thought about what to do, and decided to open this thread that serves several purposes: 1. The cruncher who has announced and achievement will know somebody noticed when visiting here. 2. The cruncher who don't care just doesn't waste his time going here. 3. The thread is not meant to be solely for my use - other verbose crunchers are more than welcome and 4. KLiK shall not be vexed My first post will be for Seoulpowergrid who announced his milestone of: 1 million WUs Congratulations Seoulpowergrid For me sitting in Denmark my thoughts go out to the far East each time you post one of your impressive results, and I have noticed you have chosen to crunch under the UN flag - probably because you are an American expatriate working in South Korea? |

Congrats to everyone reaching their next milestones! Congratulations flodisar I also just reached 250 000 000 points. Took me 11 years or so but totally worth it! :) - not only do you announce your own impressive achievement, but you congratulate everyone else. And you recently became a Captain of legendary The International team |

Thank you very much Little Mermaid.
----------------------------------------...and I have noticed you have chosen to crunch under the UN flag Yep, that is correct. I've spent years of my life in the East and visited elsewhere as well. The time being with various cultures has resulted in me seeing myself more as international than from one country, or at least the stereotypes that come into people's minds when I tell them where I am from. My passport says American, but culturally I am very Korean, Chinese in some ways, Japanese in others, and American in others still. I've felt some confusion as to what this makes me, but with time I've grown peaceful as this odd mixture is simply me.- probably because you are an American expatriate working in South Korea? |
