Yes, NixChix's mermaid knows dcs1955's mermaid, and her twin sister too.  Yes, it would have been fun. Cheers  Nix were you being Flippant in saying your daughter knew the young woman who signed my GD autograph book, or it is truly the case? If the latter it is the most amazing demonstration of connectedness! Ariel -MGD MGD- ME ME - LM LM - YOU YOU - YD YD - Ariel 6 deg of separation! I thought it was just a play, movie and parlor game about Keven Bacon.   |

I have experienced many examples of connectedness in this world. I should start writing them down. Although not a good example of connectedness a strange story I have is that when the second-to-last segment of the Los Angeles subway was opened (19 years ago) I was allowed to ride the VIP train and attend the dedication ceremonies at the Hollywood/Vine Station the day before the grand opening since I had done significant work on the project. Johnny Grant, the "honorary mayor of Hollywood" sat next to me on the train. He was the emcee of the program to clap for all the politicians that took credit for all the work as well as for all the program managers and construction managers who oversaw the work. During the grand opening weekend (on the following day or next) I took my family to ride the new subway and we ate dinner at a hamburger place on Hollywood Blvd at a table right next to the sidewalk. I was telling my wife about sitting next to Johnny Grant on the VIP train and she asks "Who is Johnny Grant". At that exact moment he walked past us on the sidewalk and pointing, I replied "him". Stranger still was that my brother was one of the firefighters called to his hotel room when he passed away. Cheers  |

As a believer in fate, chance, and coincidence it's straight out of the book.
Amazing story, and I believe both you NixChix and dcs1955 dream mermaids these nights. NixChix, did your Johnny Grant episodes give you goose bumps?  |
