Re: Badges for more than 100 years

I agree completely, surely its time for WCG to add badges over more than 100 years.

CPUs are getting more and more powerful every year and hence the amount of accounts that hit 100 years is going to just continue.

Perhaps WCG admins are not too aware of this thread, perhaps someone should tweet this thread to WCG Twitter, where they are quite active.

https://twitter.com/WCGrid

I would but for some strange reason Twitter suspended our (and thousands of other) accounts for no reason.

Re: Badges for more than 100 years

Our only hope now is that our new overlords Krembil, have admins that have the technical ability and will to do this. Not holding out much hope as IBM couldn't manage the difficult task.

I am guessing they could manage it, but chose not to do so. I know there are crunchers like you, Deltavee and others who could get badges far above 100 years. Would you like to see badges in increments of 100 or some other scheme, such as 250, 500, 1000 ?
Cheers

Re: Badges for more than 100 years

200 year badges are available now. They're the dark red ones stoneageman and papa3 have.

Re: Badges for more than 100 years

Looks more like a shade of red to me rather than purple.

50 vs 200

Re: Badges for more than 100 years

I've got over 223 years in FightAids@Home, still waiting for proper recognition!

If this website was designed with anywhere near the level of professionalism one would expect from an IBM-affiliated project, adding new badges should be a trivial thing to do (involving nothing more than the addition of an extra row or column to two arrays of constants).

DONE.

Re: Badges for more than 100 years

This is most excellent news. Let's hope there are 500 year badges as well - I think I may need one in a year :-)
