I discovered why the "forbidden to post" message is displayed: I am trying to paste at the forum a copy of commands I issued to a Linux system, in order to install BOINC/WCGrid, and the replies I received from it.
I tried to post the same piece of text here and received the same "forbidden" message. So, I think the original question (in this post), needs a small tweak: How can I paste, inside a post, a log from a Linux terminal, showing commands issued and replies received, without receiving the reply "Forbidden - You don't have permission to access /forums/wcg/addpost on this server." from the Forum? Thanks! |

This is a test - using "Reply" at the top of the post am replying to - NOT the "Quick reply to the post [xxxxx..." at the bottom... Below is a copy and paste from a Fedora Terminal. Browser used to view this page on WCG is Firefox on the same Fedora Worjkstation...

I suspect there is no "Reply" button when I am openning a "New Thread". Am I wrong?

Your suspicion is well placed.
You will need to use a button called 'New Thread' In your case: Open the 'BOINC Agent Support Forum' Directly above the blue listing of posts, you'll find the 'New Thread' button to the very right. Good luck - we hope to see your post soon |

Since the very first time, that's exactly what I am doing: using the "New Thread" button!!!

I didn't know.
I'm sorry if I have upset you. This must be very frustrating for you. ErikaT said you were all set for posting, but it seems something goes wrong anyway. I hope some solution will be found for you - if you want, I can post on your behalf until it's resolved. I have my e-mail listed. |

The forum sees you trying to post executable code. You need to post the code as a quote so that the system won't see it as an attempt to execute it.
