In case you haven't noticed, MIP has hardly any WUs available.

I am sorry but I disagree with your comment. MIP has been running for let's say just under a month & it has returned 2,404,503 results.
HSTB has been running since 2016. It has returned 2,688,102 results. HSTB has returned 283,589 more results than MIP but MIP has only been running for a short time. HSTB has been running for 17/18 months. So I would hardly say that MIP has had a slow start.

Please note numbers were taken after the midnight statistics update on 5th of September 17

I have returned 671 MIP results & 510 HSTB results. This at all with a October core I 7 at 3 GHz running about 12 hours a day

Re: Still only 1 %

MIP has been out of new work for almost 24 hours. Got a few resends today. Flipped over to SCC1 so I don't run dry.

Re: Still only 1 %

There are many reasons why this project is only at 1% - the first being, it's only just started!!!

The first MIP WU's started flowing late on the 22nd of August - thus (as of this post), 13 full days of crunching.

Secondly, as this project is only just in it's very early stages, WCG and/or the project scientists behind this project, may just be 'taking it slow', until it's been fully proven (there have been many instanaces when, even after several Beta runs, issues have been discovered - thus, resulting in the project being paused until those issues are resolved). Therefore, over time, it could well be 'ramped up'.

Thirdly, there may be reasons as to the 'slow' supply of MIP WU's - such as the creation of WU's or the storing/processing of the WU's when they're returned. Needless to say, the shortage of WU's that some crunchers are reporting, illustrates that there's a supply/demand issue - possibly not helped by a rush for the top badges by the 'mega-crunchers'.

Fourthly, there have been many projects run on WCG that have lasted many years - notably FA@H (started Nov. 2005 - admittedly paused for some time, but it's still active now), along with DDDT2, C4CW, HCMD2, HFCC, HCC, CEP2 & HPF2 (all of which have lasted more than 1,000 days - the last three of which, lasted more than 2,000 days).

Re: Still only 1 %

I believe also that the estimated number of units is not set in the system yet, because:
releaseDate "2017-08-22T00:00:00"
estCompletionDate "2017-08-06T00:00:00"

So the completion percentage doesn't reflect anything yet.

ECD was in middle of 2018...probably something broken with ECD on WCG side.

Few days ago the dates were OK on pulling them out of WCG:

Re: Still only 1 %

Well, going by KLiK's ECD topic, an Estimated Completion Date (ECD) has only just been added - and from all indicators, it looks as though this project is going to be a real BIGGIE!!!! (6+ years), Thus, the percentage will increase very slowly - even if the whole of the WCG might was directed at it (which, if it was, might cause challenges in other directions - such as generation/storage/processing of WU's etc.).

Just so long as the WU's keep coming and are useful to the project scientists - that's all that counts for me
