I have been getting the agent paused message for a few days now, so my computer has not been doing any work. It appears unable to send/recieve data to the server.
I have disabled the DEP in windows XP, and I also have tried disabling my firewall, and still was unable to connect. Anybody else having these issues? current time is 7:55PM CDT |

Are you possibly getting very slow modem connections? If they are below 28kbps, then this would cause the agent to pause.

yup, I'm now getting thes eissues on all rigs
all paused waiting to send/receive tried: firewall turned off systems restarted turning off DEP closed all security software turned firewall on and allowed server.worldcommunitygrid.org and the port through checked cause.html, but nothing resolved it Broadband working at 1974kbps |

I am seeing the message as well on two machines, both of which have been sending/receiving WUs without any issues before this morning.
I have informed the technical guys, so hopefully they should be looking into it. |

I suspect the current 'outage' may in fact be planned maintenance...
The Know Issues Forum contains the following ambiguous post... "The grid servers will not be responding for an extended time after the usual Sunday maintenance/backup window for routine system maintenance to apply software updates. During this time grid agents may give the "Paused" message and members might not be able to log onto the web site or use the forums. No action is required on the part of members. Hopefully we won't need the entire allotted time window. Sorry for any inconvenience this may bring and thank you for your patience." Which kind of reads the work will take place on a Sunday. The topic tiltle however states a date of 3rd October. |

I very much doubt this was planned maintenance. There would have been announcement. I just woke up 45 minutes ago. What time (GMT) did this 'Agent paused' problem start?
