Useful data, busy machines, your "Results Returned" is going to look great :)

I find that MCM sucks in a lot of large WU that take a couple of days to get validated. My FAH1 is a steady 1-2 days per day. ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by dcs1955 at Dec 17, 2016 7:47:17 AM] |

yes - I am running FAids@home p1 only - on 1 i7 computer - 4 core with hyper threading (so 8 tasks at once) !!! FAH1 all the way. After hitting sapphire on Ebola,Zika, and MCM I will do the same , while keeping FAH2, and TB ready for anything that dribbles out. The Gap between Sapphire and Diamond is too big to not look for other badge opportunities, BTW is Hyper Threading something unique to the I7, can it be done on lesser CPU's? ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by dcs1955 at Dec 19, 2016 5:57:22 PM] |

BTW is Hyper Threading something unique to the I7, can it be done on lesser CPU's? I just did a quick search on a big retail site for Intel chips with hyperthreading and the first results were all i7s but a number of i5s and i3 came up as well. My work machine is i5 and only 2 years old but no hyper threading, so it isn't a guaranteed with i5s or i3s, you'd have to confirm it if that is important to you.I will mention hyper threading is an Intel thing, AMD is more straightforward with the number of cores = number of threads. ![]() |

Despite me being here for so long, and accumulating a good selection of badges, I always seem to be in a "catch up" mode - striving to get to Sapphire in all my projects. Hopefully, soon, I'll have enough courage to venture out onto that Diamond road - but not until I've gone Blue in all the active projects. BTW, you mention about reaching Sapphire in a number of your projects - unfortunately, Green = Emerald (1 year), there is a level higher than that - Sapphire - 2 years before it jumps up to Diamond at 5 years. So, once you've achieved your respective Emerald/Sapphire (1 yr/2 yrs) level for FAH1, there's still some place you can strive for, before Diamond becons. ![]() |
