Not that it's supposed to matter but
Starting BOINC client version 7.6.22 for windows_intelx86 implies this is a 32 bit client on a 64 bit CPU. |

The BOINC download page offers only BOINC for Windows 32-bit on that machine, presumably because it's running a 32-bit OS. So would 64-bit BOINC fail?
----------------------------------------I also note that the WCG System Requirements page has Help Stop TB as the only research project without a superscript 1 applied to Windows, where that indicates "Version for x86 processors is available". Does that imply that HST will not run on a 32-bit OS, even though it's a 64-bit CPU? However, the beta executable and the downloaded files indicate a 32-bit HST app: 11/08/2016 23:12:09 | World Community Grid | Started download of wcgrid_beta22_gromacs_7.25_windows_intelx86 and this beta announcement mentioned Windows 32 and 64 bit platforms. The WU still has no CPU time registered after 2 hours elapsed, but progress % is increasing normally. Yes, I'm thoroughly confused! I also note that the WCG System Requirements page has Help Stop TB as the only research project without a superscript 1 applied to Windows, where that indicates "Version for x86 processors is available". Just one of those several anomalous items there not matching actuals, this one probably because there was no 32 bit at launch for Windows. |

Oh, ok, thanks. ERIKA!
I'm leaving the misbehaving beta WU running, just to see what happens, but I suspect it's heading for a failure. |

Not necessarily... you may remember that some set ups do not record CPU time properly, case in point the one huge member who's setup causes them [the college] to report ~15 days per day, but actually is crunching many years per earth revolution. Could be fixable by armstrdj?

Not necessarily... you may remember that some set ups do not record CPU time properly You're ever the optimist, SekeRob . How about if I also tell you that Windows Task Manager has zero CPU time recorded against that process, and the overall CPU performance is running at 50% (the beta and one Zika)? ![]() |

Ah, that was not in the original XJ7 input. Presumably no checkpoints either, which HST does frequent enough (set checkpoint_debug flag to log them). Restart task (suspend without LAIM) and if no improvement send it to the eternal hunting fields.

More strangeness - a Zika finished, and the next Zika that started was failing in the same way as the beta unit, no CPU time. Total reboot called for. Now, both the Zika unit and the beta unit are running properly. False alarm as far as the beta test goes, I think.

Got two. Did a start/stop. Both finished without a problem and appeared to checkpoint normally. Awaiting validation.
