Yesterday I've been running a project update at 3 minutes past each half hour for 30 hours (ending today), starting at 1 second past :03/:33 and ending at 60 seconds past :03/:33, each half hour advancing one second, with this result:
----------------------------------------(Start at 12:03:01, times taken from 'Deadline' in BOINC Manager) 13:33:09 got 1 HST1-WU 14:33:08 got 1 HST1-WU 15:03:12 got 3 HST1-WUs 15:33:13 got 1 HST1-WU 17:03:17 got 1 HST1-WU 12:33:53 got 1 HST1-WU 13:03:54 got 3 HST1-WUs 13:33:55 got 1 HST1-WU 14:04:01 got 1 HST1-WU 17:04:01 got 1 HST1-WU Striking: between 17:30 and 12:30 (for 19 hours) no HST1-WUs were received. (For this 'experiment' I enabled only two apps: OET1 and HST1. Without HST1-WUs my machine will then yield about 8 OET1-results per hour.) It looks as if there are two bursts at :03/:33, one a few seconds after the '03/33'-releasetime and one 45 seconds later. Each half hour price shooting. :-) [Edit 2 times, last edit by adriverhoef at Sep 7, 2016 5:45:30 PM] |

I got no WU for HST for several days, although I put it to receive it preferentially.
I went to the project description, and saw that the project is not dead. So what's happening? |

The past 30 days gave us an average of about 1600 workunits per day validated. With quorum 2, that implies about 3200 copies crunched per day. I think that the most recent word from the techs was "no immediate plans to increase the work available".

Tony, Seen this twice being written in a short while, to interject that your sign is inverted. WCG counts ALL results crunched... yours and the wingman(s), so 1600 on the project history page is stemming from about 800 pairs, quorum 2. The 1207 in your other post is like 602 pairs plus 1 that had 3 results (a late return could cause a redundant result being counted). Sorry |
