I paused my WCGrid Strike to test the BES app to throttle tasks. This seems a very elegant solution for throttling to the millisecond. However, I have to manually set the throttle on each task every time it starts, which is prohibitively unpractical.
Anyone have suggestions? Tyfyt |

The BES developer kindly helped me and using a wildcard I was able to set a 40% throttle on all BOINC tasks:
C:\Users\User\BES1.7.1.1\BES.exe -J -m "C:\ProgramData\BOINC\projects\www.worldcommunitygrid.org\*" 40 I'm happy! WCGrid Strike over! I'm currently using the default Target Sleep/Awake Cycle setting (100ms). If you have any comment on the value for this setting, feel free to post it. |
