My computer has been crunching along for about two days (yes I was one of the many pulled in by the cnn article) but it has yet to update any statistics to my member page. Is anybody else experiencing this? I'd just like to know because that would be a shame if my compuer was crunching out numbers but for some reason one of the IBM servers wasn't receiving the information.

Yeah I've returned a couple of results now, but my profile is not updating yet. They said it would 24 hours after you submit your first result, it's been beyond that and I am suspecting with all the new members that it may take a bit longer to update.

Yeah, I was having the same problem... but I wasn't sure why or how, so I would guess it's because of the sudden surge of new members (me incl) who were drawn in by the recent articles on www.msn.com and CNN. So maybe if we wait it out a bit it'll right itself, so add a reply if you find that your stats have been uploaded. Thanks

I signed up 2 days ago (17th) and have processed a few thingo's, but only stats for the very first unit have been processed. The app has been running flat-stick ever since I signed up (the box runs 24/7), yet the stats on the web show that I've donated 6hrs processing (inside the app it shows 1day20hrs). I figured it was just pretty friggin lagged.
I can see the headlines now ... "Grid computing project slows internet routers by syphoning CPU cycles from networking devices" ... haha! |

Ya I was drawn in by the CNN.com article-
It seems o take twenty four hours to record results on the site. Last night I had about 400 points, which is what I have now, while now I have over 1000 points. I think tommorrow I'll get boosted up again. |

Well stats aren't realtime (it's not because of the large number of people who joined). They are updated only at 6am UTC. That's to prevent that the server is getting overloaded when again lots of people would join.

But my software has been running for 3 days, and if it updates every 24 hours, shouldn't my personal stats be showing some progress?

I think I figured this out. I too was curious as to why no stats after
2 days of crunching. Well.. I noticed everyone on my team that reported stats has at least 1 unit done. Everyone that has no stats coincidently has 0 "Results Returned." Now maybe I've got this backwards or wrong... but our team has only been around since Nov. 17th and we have a member sergiob505 that has turned in 9 results, so it isn't a daily thing. Any other ideas as to when stats are updated? I couldn't find this specific information in the FAQ. Thanks, Rob ![]() |

Tacky following up my own post.... but are some of these
protein folds much more complicated than others? Would that explain how some of these are returned rather quickly? I've gotta new Sempron - 1.5 GHz 3200+ (whatever). I've been crunching for 56 hours , 30 minutes and am at 60%. Surely some of these are more folding than others? Ideas? Is that in a FAQ somewhere? Thanks, Rob ![]() |
