Re: Error - Finish File Present Too Long

It's always a first step remedy to restart the client, then boot if persisting, but for nix/nux latter applies less.

May have written about this before, but Dr A. did a code check-in some weeks ago, where he changed something to prevent duplicate temp file naming, I understood that to be possible in a single job slot, each slot isolated from the other. There's been no new test build out, but it's coming. If it is the root cause of the issue, is the 65,000 USD question.

Re: Error - Finish File Present Too Long

The issue initially reported in this post was resolved by stopping the Windows Update service, setting it to Manual Start versus Auto Start in Services and re-boot. Since I disabled this service a couple of weeks ago and there were no more "finish file" errors then I can only conclude that this was the cause.
Hope this finding helps save someone the aggravation I went thru.......Susan
