Stuck WU on remote PC.

I have a WU that has been running for over 48hrs on my PC. Problem is I'm away, so can't fix the problem.

Will it automatically timeout, or do I have to wait for either a reboot due to windows update or for the deadline to pass?

TIA

Patrick

Re: Stuck WU on remote PC.

How do you know?

Usually a task times out at rsc_fpops_bound point, which is usually 10x the standard estimated runtime. (the bound multiplier value varies per science... just checked a UGM and that one has a 20x cut-off... a representation of uncertainly where curiously, UGM is the most consistent of all sciences).

Edit: hmmm HST1 has 20x too... if a task comes in with 13 hours as they've been doing, it means 260 hours before calling out hallelujah... that's beyond the 10 day deadline, at time of receipt.

Re: Stuck WU on remote PC.

Most of my OET WUs take 2 hrs max, not over 48hrs. I can tell when it started by the time other WUs already returned finished.

Re: Stuck WU on remote PC.

After PC rebooted, WU returned Valid 1hr later, along with a stuck Zika WU soon after that.

Hopefully all cores now back up to speed.
