Re: BREXIT

hahaha and destroy the EU in the process :D
But seriously, the EU definitely needs to change many things.
Also, some countries, like mine, can't afford to leave. Leave is a luxury only a few in the EU have.

Re: BREXIT

So let's start with "a small English version of humor":

biggrin

Seems like there's going to be another referendum of Scotland staying inside UK vs. staying in EU:

Good job boys...you managed to end UK!
cool

Re: BREXIT

Well, Scotland voted against independence from the UK last year, and against independence from the EU last week.

I'm not convinced they'd vote for independence from the UK, where they have their own devolved parliament at Holyrood plus 56 MPs representing them in Westminster, just to hand that independence over to an EU where they'd never have any say over anything ever again.

It's up to them though - that's democracy for you.

Re: BREXIT

We have many people here in scotland, who are from European countries and are doing important work. They have children who are settled in schools and universities etc.

We must protect these people from Nigel Farage types and give them a guarantee that they can stay here and carry on as before.

Re: BREXIT

Well, the UK did promise Scotland that it will stay in EU...so Scotland decided to stay in UK, by referendum!

Now, things have changed...so, we shall see the referendum of Scotland again! & very soon! ;)

I totally agree - same applies for England, Wales and NI.

Re: BREXIT

Sorry guys...you voted out, so EU is "kicking you out"!

& about those people...they'll have to regulate their visits, visas, etc.

EU is going to accept all people which don't get visas to UK, for continuation of scholarship...also, redraw all influential & intelligent people from UK to EU...as well as the "money in British banks", to be in EU!

we'll have stronger Euro...you get lower Pound!
but hey, you wanted OUT...so you going to be OUT!
;)

Re: BREXIT

Things will be tough for a while. but in the end this will be a free country. Not owned by Euro banks like Greece and Ireland and not run by the whim of Brussels

My hand of friendship extends to all in Europe and I suspect that thought is similar for many Europeans for that is what we are. It could even be true of European countries but they will not be allowed to consider us friends. As hard as it has tried the EU is not Europe and should not own Europe.

Many are the good things that have come from membership of that club but then you step back and ask yourself about why the EU allowed the financial situation in Greece Spain Italy Ireland to happen let alone encouraged it. Do you really want to be part of such an organisation?

The price of democracy has always been high
