I've been wondering: What would happen if you turned on a computer that hadn't been on for many years, and it had a task from a completed project that it wanted to submit? Like Clean Energy Phase 1 or something?

It'd go stupid [and on the first connect abort the task as 'no longer unusable'], but more probable, since the client will be seriously out of date, it's unlikely to be able to connect in the first place... certificates, ssl, https changes and expirations.]
