I know the current projects won't be converted, and that's fine, but I am running dry on GPUGrid, and am curious if there is any GPU work even planned on the horizon.

If they say yes, and they put the requirement to GPU that have very high compute capabilities (high-end graphic cards), I'd say that I'll stay with CPU WU, as high-end graphic card are like second computer in term of price.
If compute capability stay at reasonable level, so that middle and low GPU can crunch, I'd say yes. |

if you have capable gpu's, dont waste your time and cost of power here... go to Folding@home.

Zinc, have you ever seen any results from them (F@h)? Have they ever published anything worth seeing?

How useful have any of the results that F@H has produced been? have you ever seen any results from them (F@h)? Have they ever published anything worth seeing? Not that I've ever seen or heard about.

As per the requirement for high end graficcards, i am sure there are a few gamers here as (like me). I remember when HCC had an GPU-app, it practically produced 10-15 times my normal output for about 100 watts more. Definately worth it in terms of computing power...

Definately worth it in terms of computing power... not sure if any card is is worth the extra electricity...while you can have power-efficient chip-sets which crunch without extra power intake! ![]() |
