Re: Cannot Upload--COmmunication Deferred

Looks like this is the right thread after finding 39 WUs in the "Ready to report" status on only one of several W10 system.

Re: Cannot Upload--COmmunication Deferred

If anxious to clear Ready to Report, you may hit the update button under the Project tab of the BOINC Manager Advanced view [after selecting the WCG line entry]. These normally clear when new work is requested... a combination of communications to reduce the number of connects. Ready to Report means that all related uploads were successful, this then acting as the secondary confirmation that both sides, server and client are on the same page.

Rob, Its good to know that the stats for the individual WU are not lost, So I'm going to leave things as they are ans see what happens over time. Thanks

Re: Cannot Upload--COmmunication Deferred

I'm having the same issue. Projects are ready to report but not being sent and I'm not receiving new projects. I found this post on the news page. I wonder if this is why some of us are having issues. I had no problems before they did this upgrade.

Web server upgrade

By: Kevin Reed
World Community Grid

12 Feb 2016

Summary
We have upgraded our web server to the latest version of the IBM HTTP Server 8.5 in order to enable the latest version of encryption for secure web communications.

Industry is moving towards a more secure internet by migrating to stronger encryption methods, and away from encryption methods that have been shown to have vulnerabilities or are otherwise now considered to be weak. World Community Grid has updated our web servers to the IBM HTTP Server 8.5 in order to adopt the use of TLS 1.2 for all secured communications.

Users do not need to take any action as a result of this change.

Re: Cannot Upload--COmmunication Deferred

Mine just finally started uploading/downloading after being hung up with this issue for 36 hours. I didn't do anything on my end except keep trying the Update button.

My problem has NOT resolved at this point. Continuing to have the error.

The other two systems on the same router are working fine.

Re: Cannot Upload--COmmunication Deferred

Up to 49 "Ready to report" MCM WU's which remain after a reboot of the only PC that has the problem.
