I started getting this error this morning and have been unable to download any new work units since receiving it. The exact sequence of messages is:
2/10/2016 8:25:06 PM | World Community Grid | Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. 2/10/2016 8:25:06 PM | World Community Grid | Requesting new tasks for CPU 2/10/2016 8:25:08 PM | World Community Grid | [error] Can't parse file info in scheduler reply: unexpected XML tag or syntax 2/10/2016 8:25:08 PM | World Community Grid | [error] No close tag in scheduler reply In searching the forum, the last mention I found of this error was in 2014 and apparently took some action on the server end to solve the problem. I tried to reset the project which did report the completed work units, but did not allow new ones to download. I am running Boinc Manager 7.6.22 (x64) on a Windows 7 machine. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me |

PS Problem only applies to WCG. Other projects are working normally.

With 7.6.22 actually detach from WCG and add the project back. Something is timing out during transmission and leaves/left you with an incomplete transmission file. Detach [Remove button] opposed to reset does clean out all WCG remnants to get to a fresh start.
