I haven't looked at my total points for awhile and I just noticed that I only had 97,907 points listed for WCG in BOINC manager. When I check the website here it says 676,985 I checked at a couple other sites and they all say the same about 97K points.
What's up with that? |

WCG existed before BOINC was introduced. At that time it used United Devices software (UD) to control the science programs. WCG has continued to use the UD points to judge the work completed. One BOINC credit is equivalent to seven WCG points. Only WCG reports points, all other BOINC sites record credits. There is not always an exact 7:1 ratio as it can be dependent on the timing of the extracts from WCG.
