CPU benchmarks

Is there a website that shows how much work different CPUs can do for distributed computing projects? Thank you!

Re: CPU benchmarks

it can do all the work, if it's CPU you are asking...

difference is in:
- OS
- version of GPU
- some other version of hardware
etc.

so all CPUs can crunch on all project...except some exclusive! wink

Re: CPU benchmarks

https://www.cpubenchmark.net/power_performance.html

This site shows ratings for CPUs, the performance per watt above helps when looking at running costs per point.

Also look at BOINC statistics sites for points comparisons.

Re: CPU benchmarks

This doesn't answer your question but it's interesting to look at.

Re: CPU benchmarks

Generally, as the electricity increases within a processor family, so does the performance. Dual CPUs of the latest generation are some of the most powerful and efficient (ask OldChap). Or, If you have some choices/prices you are considering, we may have more suggestions.

Re: CPU benchmarks

Is WuProp not the place to go list out CPUs and then see the credit/hr?
Here's a nice page with my laptop i7 on it:

http://wuprop.boinc-af.org/results/compar_cpu...7-2670QM+%28HT+enabled%29 almost top and bottom of the line in that selection, for WCG, in Beta testing. No data for FAHB though biggrin
